Who needs wallpaper when..../Quien necesita papel tapiz cuando...

Who needs wallpaper when you have a budding six-year old artist in your home?

Jocelin and I made a homemade art caddy on Saturday out of leftover plastic containers, duct tape and spray paint.  Ana, already the artist, got inspired and went picture-drawing happy!

Ana, the one guilty of our beautiful walls!

I included tape in the art caddy, which inspired another idea.....display the art work!  So, Ana started taping her drawings up literally all over the house!  I can assure you, this Mommy isn't taking any of them down until they fall down....and then we might even tape them back up again!

This space on the wall needed another picture!

Ana’s work of arts and her desire to display them, reminded me of another Creator anxious to display His works of art….God Almighty!  After two weeks in bed recovering from minor surgery, I was more than anxious to see some of His artwork outdoors this past weekend!  Still unable to return to church, I enjoyed a very quiet day home alone yesterday and spent several hours reading outside and even took a nap in the playground!  I marveled at one of my favorite color combinations…bright green leaves against an incredibly blue sky as I peered up from my blanket on the ground.

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place….”  Psalm 8:3

Salmos 8:3

Then, after hours of only the sound of the birds singing their Sunday praises, I was once again ready to welcome another part of God’s creation, our 16 incredible children and my hubby…home from church!

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful.”  Psalm 139:13-14

Salmos 119:13-14

So, running on a low budget?  Skip the trip to the local art museum, look out the window, around the dinner table or in the mirror and marvel at some incredible workmanship by The Creator!
